Training

I have done a lot of training over the last 4 years with my current crew of horses and have found that I favor the Natural Horsemanship style of training

Over the recent past we have seen a big change in the world of training horses. Now we think about training or teaching a horse instead of 'breaking' a horse. It is with this more modern way of training that we see greater success in the horse training world, both for the owners and trainers as well as the horses.

Natural Horsemanship training has become very popluar over the recent years. I like it because it allows us to work with the horse through it's own natural thoughts and reactions. It is done without fear or physical punishment. It is accomplished through respect.

There are a lot of Natural Horsemanship Clinicians out there today. If you considering hiring a trainer it is advisable to check them out. There are a lot of good trainers but there are a lot of bad ones too. A bad trainer can do injury to your horse mentally and/or physically. Get references, go and observe them training, talk to people who have used them. Another good way is to go on the numerous horse chat/groups on line .Such as the Equinesite.com Bulletin Board. There you will find someone who can offer their opinion or experience.
I enjoy working with babies and problem horses the most. I have quite a bit of experience with youngsters and problem horses. I find them so interesting to work with. If you are looking for a trainer. please contact me. I would be happy to discuss a training plan for you and your horse.

Please feel free to call or for more information.
